Volunteers work with the PTA Board and to provide meals and gifts for teachers and staff at the beginning of the school year with a Welcome Back Breakfast and in spring during Teacher Appreciation Week.

At the beginning of each school year, the PTA holds a uniform exchange. Volunteers work with the Chair person to collect, organize, and distribute clothes.

This year the PTA will be hosting SMA's International Fair on September 23rd. Volunteers will work with the co-chairs to ensure a successful event. They will solicit participants, vendors, and performers; as well as help with day-of needs including set-up and tear-down.

Each year the PTA throws a Trunk-or-Treat. The Chair person will be responsible for trunk sign-ups, establishing vendor contracts, and ensuring adequate entertainment.

The PTA supports all PBIS Events throughout the year and replenishes prizes. Volunteers help with set-up and tear-down of PBIS events throughout the year and help distribute prizes to classrooms weekly.

Each year the PTA works with ORGANIZATION so that X-Y students can produce and perform a musical for the community. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to discover new skills and passion and learn a new craft. A variety of volunteer positions are needed. Learn more here.

Chair person will be responsible for filling out a Facilities Request for movie nights held throughout the year. They will also be responsible for choosing the movie and coordinating logistics, with the help of volunteers.

The PTA provide refreshments at a variety of school events, including but not limited to, the Winter Sing-Along, Kindergarten Celebration, 8th Grade Celebration, and Kindness Week.

Volunteers work with Chair person to provide balloon decorations at various events as well as all decorations for the 8th Grade Celebration Ceremony held at the end of the year.

Assist in creating, producing, and selling items for SMA Spirit Wear. Items include apparel, keychains, hats, blankets, and more.
